Babies is the first phase of the Music with Me programme and is the ideal first musical experience. For generations and generations, in all cultures babies have been sung to, rocked and encouraged to make noise from the day they are born.

In our Babies sessions we take from 6 weeks old up to fully walking babies. It doesnt matter if your baby is bigger or smaller than the baby sat next to you, we will all be doing the same wonderful activities and you and your baby will be aiming for you baby's next milestones.

Each class will be structured and will have lots of repetitions throughout the term so you and your baby can learn that terms songs and activities. We will be singing a mixture of nursery rhymes, lullabies and songs written especially for Music with Me, which are specifically designed to encourage development.

We will start with a "Hello song" which is the same each week so your baby will recognise that this means the start of Music class. We will then progress to " action songs", "bouncing songs, "clapping songs" and "percussion time" in which baby will use tiny drums, shakers and claves to make music, encourage motor skills, develop hand -eye coordination and reach their next developmental milestones.
We will use teddies, bubbles, lights and parachutes to stimulate your baby visually, as well as using claves, drums and shakers to make music with. We will finish our session with some calming "listening music" all before we sing our goodbyes song - which is again the same each week so your baby will recognise we have finished our class for the day.

Each or these different sections of class helps your baby develop in different ways through music and song. Singing itself is used in speech therapy with children and adults all over the world. As song is slowed down version of speech it is a huge aid in forming our first sounds and words.

Sessions are weekly during term time and each session is half an hour long.
